Meals on Wheels – Durham, NC

EIFS is the ideal product for transforming the characteristics of an existing building. Meals On Wheels in Durham, North Carolina was running its operation out of an old garage.  When it came time to upgrade the building an EIFS exterior cladding was chosen as part of the exterior solution.  The 4” EIFS system wraps the building like a Styrofoam cooler, adding another R 15.4 of insulation to the building exterior.   Only one third of the original building was heated and cooled.  Now the entire space is totally heated and cooled, yet uses less energy than the original structure.  And with a playful mixture of colors, the exterior has been totally transformed.
